I am a vascular surgeon by training—and a patient by experience. Living with a chronic condition has given me a rare dual perspective: I’ve navigated the healthcare system not just as a provider, but as someone who understands the fears, frustrations, and complexities of being on the other side of the exam table.
Even with medical expertise, I found that advocating for my own care was overwhelming. When my condition ultimately ended my surgical career, I realized this wasn’t an ending—it was a redirection. Today, I’ve embraced a new purpose: using my knowledge and lived experience to empower others as they navigate their own healthcare journeys.

With over 20 years of experience across the medical industry, Jean Demosthenes brings a unique blend of expertise in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare business strategy. His career spans hands-on roles in territory management, startup growth, and FDA regulatory pathways—helping innovative medical technologies move from concept to commercialization.
A dynamic leader, Jean has advised healthcare organizations on operational strategy, practice management, and market expansion. His ability to bridge clinical, business, and entrepreneurial perspectives makes him a sought-after consultant for companies navigating the complexities of healthcare.
Education & Beyond
Jean’s academic foundation includes a degree from Illinois State University, where he balanced studies with athletics as a member of the ISU Redbirds football team. He later earned his MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Gies College of Business—a testament to his drive for excellence.
When not consulting, Jean channels his leadership into mentorship as Head Women’s Basketball Coach for Parkland Community College’s Lady Cobras, fostering teamwork and resilience both on and off the court.
